MCDCI Anwendung

Marburg Centre for Digital Culture and Infrastructure – Interdisziplinäres Arbeiten fördern.

The Marburg Centre for Digital Culture & Infrastructure (MCDCI) is an interdisciplinary scientific center that researches digital methods in the humanities and social sciences, as well as the digital transformation of society, culture, and science. The MCDCI is jointly operated by Philipps University Marburg, the Herder Institute for Historical Research on East Central Europe, and the Leibniz Association.

The idea of transformation and networking across scientific disciplines serves as the basis for a variable logo. The interconnected elements form changing constellations. Despite its many possible variants, the logo maintains a consistent recognizability.

The variations in the logo allow for versatile use across communication channels.

A monospaced font was chosen as the corporate font, originally primarily used in electronic text recognition due to its fixed character width. It gives the appearance a factual and clearly structured character, contrasted with the primary colors of the RGB color space used for digital image reproduction.
