Hessisches Landestheater Marburg

Hessisches Landestheater Marburg (2010 – 2017)

In 2010, under the directorship of Matthias Faltz, we designed the corporate identity for the Hessian State Theater Marburg. Inspired by a stage, the passe-partout was chosen as the fundamental design principle. It frames the content and serves as a design system throughout various communication mediums. Simultaneously, the newly developed logo directs the focus to the words “Theater Marburg” to establish the designation in common language use. As part of the redesign, the website, all print communication, and outdoor advertising were newly developed.

Letterhead, gift cards, business cards – the different formats can be consistently branded through the design principle of the passe-partout.

The corporate typeface was complemented by a specially developed set of numerals to make the typography more distinctive. The numerals were prominently used, especially on the covers of the season brochures.
